The Best of the West

The three best cowboy movie stars (in my opinion ;) could be none other than...

#1 Could be none other than..
Roy Rogers :)

With his wife Dale

And his pal Trigger ;)

#2 Is one of the oldest singing movie cowboys (who, by the way, started Roy on his career)...
Gene Autry

Gene, by the way, would be my #1 cowboy but Roy sings better ;) :D

And his horse Champ :)

And

#3
John Wayne

I like his earlier pictures better

That's my list of cowboys ;)
Who are your favorite movie stars from back then? I won't take any that are later than the 50's :D

Blog Party

Miss Lucia Over at From Under My Little Umbrella is the co-host of a lovely blog party. Check out my answers

What are two songs that describe you? That would be hard to say since I don't listen to much. :)
What do you most fear? Tough question. I'm not afraid of much. I suppose I would be most afraid of black widow spiders.

What color(s) dominate(s) your wardrobe? I don't really have a dominate color in my wardrobe... I just wear what's comfortable and (partially) stylish. (Though I must admit, most of my favorite clothes are a nice warm pastel yellow;)

How do you normally do you hair? In a braid held off my neck with my Lilla Rose flexi clip.
Do you prefer milkshakes or smoothies? Milkshakes. Definately milkshakes. (now if the question centered on a particular flavor, I might have chosen the smoothie. A pineapple milkshake would not appeal to me;)

Do you like the color pink? If it were a very light pastel (almost white) shade of pink.

What is your favorite flower? I like almost all flowers. For store bought (cut) flowers I like white roses, but for grow-it-yourself flowers I love daffodils. :)

How many states have you been to? Two as far as I know. :)

What is your favorite thing about June? Sunshine, no school, everything is green, fresh (early) produce, and a nice shade tree with a swing under it to sit and read in. :D :D

Describe your "dream wedding location." I would love to be married in a garden under an arch of blooming honeysuckle just after rain. (Particular, I know ;)

Try It Yourself

I found a most interesting "game" to play. Take the title of a book and change it with one word. Here are a few that I came up with:

Anne of Green Tables
Silver Maze
The Mound of the Baskervilles
The Slime of Four, and
The Lord of the Things

Why don't you give it a try and leave a comment with the results? :D

The (kind of late) Answer!

Oops, I just remembered that I didn't post the answer to the "guess again" post. :)

And the answer is...

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

I don't know about y'all,but...

I still enjoy a good swing, even if I am goin' on sixteen. Who cares? :D

I wish more people liked swinging, but I've been told that it's "not mature" to swing. :P
Who ever heard such nonsense?

What about you? Do you think it's "not mature" to swing, even when you're twenty?

Must see

Here is a giveaway of my new favorite hair accessory. If you don't know what a Lilla Rose flexi clip is, you have no idea what comfortable hair styles are. :D

Guess again

#1
Character 1 - "Hands of the tail. The great A---- himself gave me this tail, and no one, repeat, no one... touches... the tail. Period, exclamation mark."

#2
Character 1 - "What have you done with my sister you little pipsqueak?"

Character 2 - Looks blank

Character 1 - "Well, Where is she!?"

Character 2 - "She's in the mansion."

Character 1 - "What mansion?"

Character 2 - Looks to the side

Character 1 - Looks in the same direction and sees mansion appear, "Ooooh, that mansion."
